Pizza dough windowpane?

What is this?
Stretch the dough until thin. Hold it up to the light and look to see if the baker's windowpane, or taut membrane, has formed.
Can someone please explain what I should be looking for?

It should stretch easily enough without tearing, into a thin sheet that when you look through it it will be opaque with very thin "veins" visible. Like looking through a piece of tan stained glass. Don't worry so much about the look, it is the fact that you can stretch it out very thin without it tearing that lets you know you are good to go.
