Finally summer may have arrived at least for a few days here in southern Ontario. I decided to take advantage of the weather and cooked up a storm.

I started Saturday night with some cedar planked nachos (my wife's favorite)

And then I brought out some brie and cranberry sauce placed in Tostitos scoops as a treat around the camp fire. A very yummy mixture melted together.

Don't roast me but this next picture on Sunday of dinner with our neighbors was cooked over the open fire but was very tasty.

Today's dinner consisted of a jam packed egg with Rib's, wings and corn. My wife wondered who was coming over for dinner. We will have lots of leftovers.

What a great weekend to be cooking on the egg.

Looking good there Gary! Did your friends have a demo yet at the new store?? Anxious to see some pics when they do have one.
How was your fist try at wings on the egg?

    Hey Mike

The wings turned out great, a little sweet and spicy.
The first demo cook is this coming weekend at their grand opening so I will post some pictures.

    Hi Claycamp

The nachos are cooked with direct heat on a cedar plank that i usually soak overnight. My temp is about 300 - 350 but I keep an eye on it because too long will start the plank on fire. It usually takes about 20-30 minutes but you will know when they are done and everything is melted together nicely. This time I browned some hamburg with taco seasoning and loved it.

The brie tostitos I cook on a raised rack with a pizza stone and heat (250) just long enough to melt the cheese. Cranberries and brie is a great combination.

    Enjoy.
