Well I have decided to try the low and slow on a couple of Pork Shoulders, seasoned with a little butt rub and brown sugar, got the Large Egg warmed up to 225 and on with the meat!

duchunter....
Looks like we will be atleast some of the folks cookin tonight. You will absolutely love the results.
I am not positive from the picture, and am certainly not trying to tell you what to do, but it looks like your two cheeks are touching. :P
If you are looking for about 1.5-2 hours per lb as far as timing on the cook, try to separate the butts at least a quarter inch to allow for airflow. Hope you get some sleep.
Tomorrow morning, our backyards are going to smell glorious! -

Cruisin along just fine....
At the 10.5 hour mark, mine are at 245 grate and 185 internal. All pretty close to each other as well.
Timing looks pretty good on mine to finish up close to noon to hit the cooler and road to the beach. -
Well after 12 hours and a dome temp of between 200 and 225 the meat is done! not sure how you guys are getting 16 hours but I guess I need a Dig II if I keep doing this

All Shredded up and ready to eat

PS note to self start the cook a little later in the evening
