A couple of days ago there was a post about burgers on the BGE vs. gasser. One of the responses was about slow cooking hot dogs at 250º for an hour (and I added cherry wood chips). With nothing better to do last night I gave it a try. The dogs were good, but I don’t know that I would purposely take that amount of time again for hot dogs. For those of you who like the smoke on your potato, the fries came out very well. Put them on frozen and they eventually crisped up. Low fat too, 3 ½ grams per serving straight out of the bag and a thin spray of oil on the cast iron.
