Yeah, basically, that's what I'm planning to do. I really haven't had a chance to look at the label to see what the protein content was.......

Hey, I appreciate it, Rod. I guess I'm pretty much gone with this batch of lump. They had trouble with the card I presented (that I had gotten from a very good friend on this forum....and, I appreciate it very much), and they issued a guest pass which states "cash only no returns-all sales final!". They didn't tell me this when I was checking out.....my fault, I should have looked at the receipt more closely.......but, in retrospect, it probably wouldn't have made any difference at the time because I didn't know it was out of the country lump......What I hate about it is I knew to look for this South American brand of lump, which I did quite thoroughly, or, so I thought I did!

Any time you want to get in there just let me know. I'll be able to escort you in and we can get whatever you need. I work 3 exits north on I-85. Very easy trip for me.

I can tell you it does spark pretty much.......more than I'm used to seeing with other brands and it has a smell that I would equate to a creosote sort of smell like an occasional piece of your lump that wasn't fully carbonized. However, I did manage to get it up to 750 degrees quite easily which was great for cleaning my daisy wheels and grids. A little bit of snow on the inside of the egg from the sparking syndrome, but, I can now do a whole lot of high-temp. cleaning with my 180#'s of lump........ If anybody needs any for this, or any other, purpose, feel free to come by Young Harris, GA and I'll gladly give it to you free of charge........

Hey, Tom!! Chill is an understatement in that walk-in cooler. I wasn't prepared for that and I had to leave before I got a chance to look at everything. After I walked out, I saw the coat rack full of loaner jackets for the wimpier sorts...which I was well qualified for!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

I use 4 cups a week (2 pies), so I'll get through it in 6 months or so. 50 lbs for under $16 was just too good to pass up. -RP

Very good point. But I can see Sandy looking at that bag and saying what the he-- are you going to do with all of that flour?I figure when she is not home and away living it up with her girl friends while I am batching it home alone will be time for me to make my move. Then the plastic bags come out and the contents go into the freezer that is in the basement a place that she never goes and the rest will be history.Don't you dare tell her of my scheme.

I went to the same one on Thursday after having lunch with Rod and Ted. All they had was Argentinian lump. I was told that they have no plans to get in U S lump in any more. If you find some, you had better stock up. We stopped by Wally world and picked up some U S lump at the same price.

Well John you went to one of my favorate places to shop. Our Royal Oak down here went up to 8.99 for 17.5 LBS. But it's the good one. Not Sparky, so I guess it's worth the extra buck. Can't wait to see you and Joan in Aug. ;)
