    It's a version of no-knead

15 ounces unbleached All purpose flour

    1/4 tsp rapid rise yeast

    1 tsp salt

    3/4 cup + 2 Tbsp water

    1/4 cup + 2 Tbsp beer ( i used PBR)

    1 Tbsp white vinegar

Mix it all, cover, let rise for about 8 - 10 hours

knead about 10 - 15 times after risen. place on pan and cover for another 2 hours.

Heat oven to 500 degrees with Dutch Oven in there.

Place loaf on parchment paper in Dutch Oven, Cover. Bake on 425 for 30 minutes.

Dut, that certainly looks like a nice crusty artisian bread. I'd like to try it. Do you think it tastes better coming from the egg compared to the oven? My egg is usually not very clean.

We cooked 2 loaves. One egg and one oven. Egg has the nice crust and just a hint of smoky brick oven flavor. Oven was good but bland compared to the egg.

Looks as if I must clean out the egg! That crust looks so crisp and chewy.
