Woot.com has a small rechargeable blower today. Might be used for ramping up the temps in the egg? Any thoughts?

I think I would apply the $19.99 + $5.00 S/H to the purchase of a BBQ Guru.

Do you keep your bbq guru always attached to your egg or only when your doing low slow and long?
-
I have a guru as well - AWESOME device. I now sleep well on over nighters. You could use it all the time, but I just use mine for long, low, and slow.
It is REALLY easy to take on and off the egg. Set up time is really nothing. In Maryland -
YetiBob is right, it is easy to put on and take off. I leave mine off until I'm doing a long low 'n slo cook. I keep it in a sealed plastic container when not in use.
It's a very nice accessory to have. I'm sure the DigiQ is even better but I'm very happy with the older technology.

A guru is definately in my future.

Im a wooter I missed the bag of cr.. during the woot off!

I don't think you missed anything. From what I read in the comments those who ordered it found thier orders dissapearing. It had a million dollar shiping cost. Me thinks April fools in May.

Nice idea, however, too much money.
At Walmart and other 'mart' stores one can pick up something like a Personal AA Battery Fan for about $3. The 'blade caged' style fan produces a great light breeze.

I would love to see the AA battery $3 fan keep my egg at exactly 225 degrees while I blissfully slumber the night away.....In Maryland

I love my DigiQII. It makes us novice low and slow people look like seasoned Eggers!!! We did our first butt this weekend and we are in Hog Heaven over the results.
Can you believe they now have one that you can track from anywhere (work) via your computer!
