I was at Sam's today and saw a kamodo-style cooker named a "silver keg" (I think). Anyone seen one of these? I can't find any additional info online. Not sure what it was made of, the kids were pulling me, but it had an interesting gasket. The gasket was made of silver material and compressed when the dome was shut making an excellent seal, I have no idea how it would hold up to high temps, but the thermometer went to 800.

Cola, SC.
The gasket was so thick and compactable that dropping the dome probably wouldn't result in any damage. Might be junk, but it looked and felt good. -
This is probably what you're talking about.

I think this thing definitely has its strong points, however, for the slow cooks I don't see anything similar to a plate setter.

I've got the bubba Keg and I've been playing with it, but can't get it to hold low temps for BBQ. What's this plate setter you mention?
