I know this has nothing directly related to the BGE; however, I live in Florida and was thinking about getting a pool. I was thinking of a fiberglass but don't have any experience with them. When I was in college, I used to do Gunite swimming pools (cement) and definitely don't want one of those. Can anybody give me some advise/personal experiences with fiberglass pools?

John, send me an Email or I'll talk to you in Ocala.

We have long cold winters up here but a neighbor has a fiberglass pool and it had held up well over many years.
There are some folks on the forum that know pools and fiberglass.

I will send you an E-mail when I get home from work. But do you put them in?

I've been building and remodeling them in Fl. for 35 years. I don't work in your area but can find reputable builders for you to talk with.

John,
If you feed him he will work in your area...no wait that would cost way too much.

If you have to much money, get a pool. If you have to much money and a lot of extra time, get a boat. Both will fix what's ailing you!

I had a gunite pool installed in my new home and it lasted about 8 years before the surface got pock marked and had to be resurfaced. I went with the quartz aggregate for the resurface and love it. You can get several colors to give the water many different looks.
