9th Anniversary Dinner

Skipped the babysitter and the reservations and cooked for my bride at home.
Couldn't resist the price on this hunk o' cow:

Sliced it up into some nice thick steaks, cooked two, and vac-sealed the rest:

Marinated briefly in EVOO, worcestershire, kosher salt, fresh cracked pepper, and garlic powder:

My cheering section during the T-Rex cook (I have no answers about the hat):

After the flip:

Resting:

Plated with veggies and the tater. Forgot the tomato, basil and mozzarrela salad:

One of my better meals, IMHO.

Yes, everything was from Fresh Market and organic. Well, the beef wasn't organic, but whatever.

The veggies we done in a little butter and more EVOO, salt, pepper and 1 Tbs of minced garlic. The red onion REALLY gives this a wonderful flavor. My first try with the red onion, and we won't be going back to yellow, white or sweet.

and for what that cost you have a few more meals in the freezer instead of one meal at the restaurant! and when you were done you did not feel guilty driving home cause you KNEW you could have done better the the restaurant!!!
