The local newspaper ran the article they did on the family cook I did last week (posted on here).
Here is a link to the online version of the article. I have not seen the actual paper today, as I am at work, but there may be more pics in there. Shoot, the guy must have taken 100 pictures!

That is really cool! How did the newspaper end up on your deck taking pictures of your cook?

You must have fed him based on the length of the article.LBGE Katy (Houston) TX

One of my partners, who is an egger, "sic'ed" them on me. They wanted to do a Sunday afternoon cook, but I told them I was already doing a big family cook on a Tuesday, so they came early and did the interview and pics. The guy took a ton of good pics. I'm going to try to reach him and see if I can get some of them.
Actually he raised the dome for some close ups of the lamb while I was inside and you know what happens with a Guru and a raised dome - the temp went up and the lamb ended up slightly overcooked (nobody but me actually noticed). -
Thanks for the kudos from all of you "members of this cult" :woohoo:
The article might increase the number of guests on here and might even generate a few new members, but like with most things, the "traffic" will pass. :S -
nice article,
my wife paid 950 for a med. Must be Canadian service charges...... -
Congratulations on the nice article. Had to show the wife so she could see what a nice cult I belong to!

Any new cooks lately?
Hey, I keep trying to talk Tom into hosting an Eggfest. He's leaning toward one - parking is his issue presently. I told him to have parking at the high school and rent a shuttle van. -
As for cooks, always cooking something different, in fact, this will be a bread weekend... I had a flat bread in Denver on Tuesday night that I've got to try to clone...
EggFeast in Madison! don't know if it's ready for that! LOL!Kent Madison MS -
It would be fun to host some of these "characters" down here in the deep south! It looks like they all have a great time together cooking, drinking, and bragging!
The other Fests are just too far, with the exception of Atlanta next October. -
I enjoyed reading your article in this past weeks paper. I realized who you were after your post regarding andys newborn.

What a great article. Thanks for sharing. It's nice to see recognition for our BGE's and the great cooks who come with them.
