Fire Grates

There have been many posts lately about cracked fire grates. I have a fire grate made from heavy duty expanded metal, and the air flow is terrific, I have no use any longer for a wiggle rod. Also, I doubt it will ever crack (although after many years it may rust through. The problem is, if you try to purchase it they usually want to sell only a big sheet at a time, and it is expensive. Maybe BGE or some people that make after market products may want to make these.

    ahhhh, there's a "build it and they will come" challenge if I ever heard one! There are actually several eggers here with equipment that can cut, fabricate, weld, bend, you name it. Maybe one of that group will contact you for more information. Personally I like the cast iron grates I switched to that I buy from a local plumbing supply house, but I'm always game for new toys!
    Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time
