Ever since we tried the Dizzy Pig Maple Glazed Salmon a few month's ago, we're eating more salmon. (Actually, since I got my BGE, I'm eating more of everything :P ).
Soaking up the DP Raging River Rub
On the Egg at 300 deg
Only the finest 100% pure maple syrup from the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania (not that whimpy stuff from Vermont  )
Finished product
Of course, the teenager had to have two greasy burgers off the gasser just to annoy me.

Good looking grub there Boss! I am finding that I also am eating a lot more of everything since aquiring the eggs
-
Great looking fish.
I hope that teenager cooked his own greasy hamburgers..
He would have at my house - just to annoy him back.. -
Amen on the pure Maple syrup. If I can't have real syurp, I go with out.
-
My wife thought it was the beer that was getting to my waistline, but I'm convinced it's the Egg
-
My wife would kiss you square on the mouth. That is her favorite dinner. Looks like you did real good.

Cee-Wolf (that's how my teanager would say it),
My plan was the same as yours...make him cook it himself. Hoiwever, when I told him that he apparently went and convinced his mother to make him something. It's always convenient to have two parents to play off each other  . Anyway, I stopped her and made the burgers for him so my wife wouldn't have to cook. Plus, I used the warm lid on the gasser to keep the maple syrup glaze warm .

See there is a big difference. Mrs. CEE Wolf would have told him, "ask your father!!!"
In which case he'd be screwed because there isn't a gasser here :woohoo: -
Brian, I had two bowls of cereal for dinner :( , now I'm hungry againhappy in the hut

Hey buddy! You should recognize that stuff.
For the non-Pa forum members, Wending Creek Farms is the privately held farming operation owned by John Rigas, former Chairman of Adelphia Cable. Adelphia was one of the huge corporate scandel's in 1992 along the likes of Enron. Mr Rigas is now in prison.
Anyway, it's great maple syrup from Coudersport, PA.

Beautiful job!

Mike,
I've read your posts many times and seen your photo on the forum. Next Fall, when my youngest son heads off to college, I'm going to start doing Eggfest type events and meet Forum celebs loke yourself.
Mrs Lawn Ranger can save the kiss until then. Absence makes the heart grow fonder :woohoo:

Was it oatmeal or cream-of-wheat on the Egg? You could have brought it to a rolling boil, like that pot of oil you cooked last week  . If your're still hungry, we have some salmon left. You don't even have to drive to Wernersville... I'm sure we could meet at a bar halfway :woohoo:
-
Wow! I've got a bunch of Foeum celebs checking in. You're another guy I plan on meeting at a future Eggfest!

I understand eating more of everything!! Great job on the salmon. Always figured a kid was as smart as the dog. If you don't feed him for a few days he'll eat just about anything! :P
-
I wouldn't dare say that your wife's smarter than mine
-
I'm looking forward to it! Where 'bouts do you hail from?
-
no bars in my near future, after that 11 day holiday, I am about shot in the a**, in fact, it's already past my bedtime :Shappy in the hut

Hey buddy!!!
I was away deer hunting last week and one of the things I was thinking about while I was in my tree stand not seeing any bucks was the outcome of your beer tasting marathon. My friend, Zippylip informed me that the winner was Old Mil (can't spell the rest of the name without looking it up  ).
If I remember right, you're a hunter. I called these two guys in using only my mouth (no diaphram) while I was deer hunting since the deer were playing hard-to-get.

Looking good. Salmon is one of the wifes favorites.

I live in the little town of Wernersville, PA which is about 60 miles west of Philadelphia. If you draw a straight line between Philly and Harrisburg, our state capitol, we're about halfway in-between.
-
Why is it the women always want to "eat healthy"?
-
I had never even tried salmon till I got a egg and now it's 2 or 3 times a week now.
-
dang, looks good brian!!!
-
Do you buy your salmon fresh or frozen?
-
Hi, Max!
It was good, but not nearly as much fun as making a MMT! I made two of those back-to-back on Thanksgiving. The first on was for our dinner and the second was to take to deer camp. Your gravy was out of this world. You would have gotten a kick out of my first attempt at making gravy. The roasting pan had ridges on the bottom and I was whisking the gravy with such vigor that I had stuff flying everywhere. No problem though. I clean up around the egg-my wife has to clean up the kitchen  . I can't wait to make my next one.
Thanks for your expert instruction over at Fred's.Be sure to let me know if you get up this way again.

You must have me confused with the other Texans. They're the celebs!
