Besides Rice-A-Roni, what else is considered an origin from San Fransico and can be egged?
Looking for something for today's JETS @ 49ers.

San Francisco's Cuisine is a hodgepodge of ethnic foods.

Pick something and run with it.

Except Sourdough has been around a 1000 years or so before San Francisco was founded..
  • Quote the Wolf "both have been around for over 1000 years or so before San Francisco even existed".

I agree: Cioppino! Here's the link to Grandpa's Grub recipe: Cioppino!
  • Local cusine includes the aforementioned, as well as artichokes. Done on a grill (parboil first) they will be a hit. Or an artichoke dip to go with a crab dip and SF style sourdough bread.
As far as Rice a Roni, I don't think it is a big seller here in a food mecca.
And yes, the 9ers need a win!
  • I know I'm late, but, Anchor Steam!

I work across the street from the brewery -- lovely malt smells every few days. I've been told it's the oldest craft brewery in the U.S.

I believe Anchor is owned and operated by someone from the Maytag appliance family. Great beer. I like the Steam and Liberty Ale. Steam on draft is hard to beat.
