I appreciate the nice comments, but the fact is, I really can't take credit. The burger looked so good I just had to take a picture. I just used the black backsplash of the stove as a backdrop and the exhaust hood light happened to be on. The picture is unmodified, except for size reduction, of course. The weird light diffusion comes from me getting too close to the egg while taking a picture of a steak cook and cooking the lens on my camera, a Cannon SD1000. Sometimes it works out ok, but it really bums me out because it was a very nice camera for a point & shoot.
