I did NOT make Mad Max turkey for Thanksgiving...

Actually, I made Mad Max Prime rib from the Naked Whiz receipe page.
We went to some friends for Thanksgiving this year and they fried a turkey so I decided to try prime rib. Publix had their standing rib roast on sale for 6.99 per pound so I bought a roast big enough to feed a small army.
Sorry for no pictures but I think it turned out perfect. The rosemary really adds a great fragrance and taste to the finished product. I first seared the roast and then dialed down the temp to 350 degrees and let my BBQ Guru take over. I pulled the roast off the egg at 125.
It turned out really good and something that I will absolutely do again. We also made prime rib nachos with the leftovers!
Anyway, thanks Max..although I will have to try the turkey next year...

i HATE prime rib leftovers. . .only way i eat them is to cut them up small and mix them in with hash brown taters. ..do them all up in the wok together on the egg. .makes a great main course leftover meal ...but otherwise, i can't stand warmed over (0r cold for that matter) prime rib. ...

Yeah, prime rib leftovers are usually pretty dry and unpleasant. However, I've found they can be reasonably warmed up very slowly in a microwave if the machine is one that actually reduces the intensity of the radiation rather than just cycling full power on and off.
