Sundown's Real Man Chili

I finally made the time to put together Sundown's awesome recipe.
Getting started....
After two hours...
The taste is fantastic! Thanks again Sundown...the Chili Cookoff is this Thursday at my office. I wanted to make it ahead of time...I think chili is one of those cooks that gets better if it's served a few days after being made.

Looks good! We are getting a little cooler here in Spring and it might be time to try my hand at it. Hope you win!
-
Good morning,
Could you share the receipe and be sure to let us know how the cook off goes. -
I will definitely let you know how the cookoff goes, but I'm going to have to decline on sharing the recipe. Sundown sent it to me via email, which leads me to believe I wasn't supposed to share it. I will say that it was a surpisingly simple recipe, but man o man, is it good. I will share that no tomatoes were sacraficed while making this chili!

I understand. We all have our secrets. Good luck.

Won't be long for chili weather as it's getting cooler in n. texas. the cooler days already have me thinking about smoking cheese too.

I might be able to post the recipe later but, for the moment there are three guys that have it FrankC, egret, and Buxwheat.
I hope you folks understand for the moment . . . -
Sundown, I will honor your wishes, sir...and again, thanks for an excellent recipe. My wife, however, is a little upset that all of that chili is going to work with me on Thursday, instead of staying at home to feed the family!

I promised you I will take it to the grave with me. Many thanks again for an awesome recipe.

Is that a frog floating in the center of the bottom picture?? is that the secret ingredient??

I don't know if a 'girl' can handle this stuff.
But, to keep you quiet, I may just have to make a batch and make a fast road trip to Verona Island. It's only about 5 hours up to the bridge if I stay over the speed limit.
Or mail you some frozen two day via FedX or Brown. :woohoo: -
LOL  how about Ocala? are you going to be down there?? I will volunteer to be your prep cook so all I need is a can opener right???
-
Is that the same as the Sara Lee volcano cakes you did? Hehehehe
-
I googled this recipe and it was calling for 3 different meats.
Can someone email me this Egg Friendly version or send me a link???
Thanks,

That is not what this thread is talking about. This chili is real chili.
Very few ingredients and NO tomatoes!
As for the Google chili if you have to just make it up on the stove top transfer to a dutch oven and follow the directions "simmer . . . "
The Google chili sounds okay though. Give it a try and let us know how it comes out. -
I'm looking for the recipe in this thread and would prefer to try it but the only recipe I found was the one that came up after the Google search. They look different.

Yah, the frog is missing from the goggle one!
