Hey Mike,

Can you give me your burger recipe? I cooked the once a couple of months ago but somehow did not save it and my wife is begging me to make them again. Thank you!

It is Friday PM, He is probably out interviewing for a guest for Eggtoberfest. Here is one he did awhile back. Not sure if it is the one you seek. Stay tuned there are more coming from Alaska to the lower '48.

    Beef, Burger, Butterburger

In Reply to: Butterburger questions. It is Culvers. I have never been there but everyone seems to rave about their burgers.I don't know whose recipe this belongs to.

    INGREDIENTS:
    1 lb lean ground beef
    1/2 cup cottage cheese
    1 egg
    3/4 tsp dry mustard
    3 Tbs melted butter
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp MSG
    1 Tbs chopped green onions
    5 Tbs melted butter
    1 tsp worcestershire sauce

    Procedure:
1 In a bowl mix the cottage cheese, egg, seasonings and green onion. Add the
2 tablespoons melted butter. Beat to mix. Add the ground beef and mix well.
3 Make into 4 patties. Melt the 5 tablespoons butter in a hot frying pan.
4 Cook the "burgers" to your liking, turning only once. Cut 4 hamburger buns
5 in half. Dip cut sides into pan drippigs and place under broiler until
6 lightly toasted. Place meat between bun halves and garnish with pickle
7 fans. These have a good beefy flavor enhanced by the goodness of butter.
8 When you want flavor .. use butter.

I am doing open interviews but that one on is not mine that I have tried. I think someone asked for it and I found it for them.

I think you want the BBQ sauce one? I make some pig candy, add a couple TBLS of Worecestshire sauce, couple TBPS of KC Masterpiece and onions as you see fit. For 2lbs ground beef. If gets to thin, add some bread crumbs. HTH
The other is the Onion Burger and I'm not allowed to post about it anymore.

    Beef, Burger, Onion, Lawn Ranger

1 Just 300-350 direct. Cook until your desired doneness. Don't push the patties down, you are squeezing out the best part.
2 Also, try 1lb ground chuck, 1 package Hidden Valley Salad Dressing and Seasoning Mix. Mix that stuff together and cook.

Just joking, it went crazy in 05 when I cooked it. No pics.
    Onion Burger
    Ingredients
1/3 lb 85% lean ground beef
1/4 inch slice of vadilia onion
    1 pat butter
1/2 tsp Raging River (or favorite rub)
    Procedure
1Take 1/3 lb of 85% lean ground beef aand make a patty.
2Take a 1/4 inch slice of vadilia onion and press into the burger patty.
3Place a nice size pat of butter on the onion and cover with a good rub. Raging River is my favorite.
4I have done both indirect and direct. I prefer direct at about 350 since you cook onion side up for a long period of time. Then get that fire going hot and turn to get the onion done.
