Gave it a try today. Hell, its in walking distance. A little pricey but lump was very large and good looking out of the bag. Heated up very well and left a nice char. I'm a fan. Had it up to 550 degrees.

FWIW, Naked Whiz says it's Cowboy.

I use it a lot, because my wife shops there often and brings it home. It's 5.99 for an 8.8 lb bag, and works pretty well. I've done lots of high temp cooks for steaks and such with it, and I've done a 10 hour brisket cook with no issues.

I use this lump all the time -- because it's readily available... it soesn't leave stinkies... and burns hot, clean -- yada-yada...
Love the stuff!

Indeed it is. If one is going to buy Cowboy, one should probably buy the 20 pound bags for the sake of economy. The Naked Whiz

I have not tried this yet, but I am going to. At $5.99 for 8.8 lb. that is less than $14.00 for 20lb. I have been paying almost $20 for BGE.
