unusual new cabinet post: secretary of barbecue. If enacted, the
governor's appointee would be charged with promoting the enjoyment of
barbecue and barbecue culture. "I am very serious," said Republican
state Rep. George Albright, who filed the measure. "It's a serious
subject. Barbecue is big business in this state." It's also big
business to Albright, co-owner of two barbecue restaurants. The
secretary of barbecue would serve a one-year term without pay. ###
