Both of mine have been left out all winter, but then again I live in Florida.
Check when opening that the gaskets didn't get frozen together and may still be like that depending on you weather. -
Both my egg has been outside all winter.
Cookin and freezin.
The only reason you might need a beatin is if you haven't been egg eatin during that time.

Very Funny!!! (NOT) Someone need to put a huge icecube over your property for a few days and let you get some of this -20° wind/snow fun stuff.
Just startin to snow right now and some of it looks like it might be rain... yipee (hint of sprint).
If we are real lucky, next week might get us up into the mid 40° - short sleeves and shorts.

Grew up in Albuquerque in the '50's. Loved it then as a kid. Outside temp 78F, Pool 88F, Spa 98.
Margarita weather. Its the hurricanes I don't like. Been here 30 years. -
Tim,
Cook on it!!![p]You ahve a bunch of answers on the New Forum. Best to look there.

there's no issue. the only reason we'd bash you is for going the whole winter not using them. leaving them out is nuthin. mine ARE outside, and it IS winter. it's also cooking a turkey.
use those eggs, or we'll come over there and make you...ed egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante -
Eggs are like boats. Use-em often and they seem to have very little problems.

you ok there tim???? sounds like you have some issues..bashing...shot ..i suspect the problem is seasonal affective disorder [too much dark] complicated by the lack of properly cooked meat and the lack of alcohol. i recommend you fire up the egg and grill some meat while consuming your favorite beverage. below is an example of what i am suggesting [not me in pic]

That's a long time ago, you couldn't remember all the fun (as I am sitten here with a sweater and wishin I had something warmer for my toes.

But I can still smell the smoke from the pine logs in the fire place and the colorful snap, crackle & pop of the fire!

Probably the only thing you're going to have to deal with is the layer of mold in the Egg. Just cook it hot for a couple of hours, scrape it all off and start egging again. The Egg is not ruined by cold weather. If it was, mine'd be gone by now.

Tim,[p]Some of us have eggs built into tables and never cover them up. I have had mine uncovered for at least 8 years (Maryland) -- look like new. Not to worry!
