Ok, I am going to the NASCAR races as per usual this March. I have been wanting to bring my large BGE for the past few seasons but I am apprehensive because of the "risk" of damaging my #1 investment.
Please let me know if I am stupid for following through with my wish or if I am being too paranoid. I have a large truck and space is not a problem. I really want to bring it but I am uncertain about it's safety.
I am looking for some advice from eggperienced eggers who have traveled with their egg.
The drive is about 45 mins. (highway) from where I live.
Any tips for transportation will be greatly appreciated.
PS- Purchasing a small or mini is prefered but the Misses will not have that as of now.
Thanks in advance from a desparate egger.

You're going about it in the wrong way (grin). Here's two solutions;
1.) Tell your wife that sometimes you got to spend money to save money and a small or mini is a lot cheaper than a large, if you would accidently damage it during the trip. Explain to her that you are just protecting your investment.
2.) Tell her you are the man of the house and you're going to buy a travel BGE like a small or mini, whether she likes it or not
Then run as fast as you can out the door! :woohoo: -
i take my medium to four races a year... no problem, mon
-
Rick, didn't you post a pic of your travel rig a week or two back?
-
yep, and that guitar guy said it would break in that. hahaha.
anyway, i don't use that to haul the medium to the races. i just pick it up and carry it to the back of the rv between the twin beds and set it on the carpet and strap it to the nightstand. -
Rick,
Who do you want to win Daytona?

earnhardt senior! :P

A man after my heart! Didn't know you were a NASCAR person.

Not far from my place in the mountains. Maybe we can get together this year for the night race. Bristol-my favorite track.

So I guess I'm taking the egg! Any suggestoins for transport?

Bristol is on my short list of races I have to see!

I wish it was that easy !

Attend one and you'll always go back if you can get the tickets.
