My new table is complete

Double Bogey

Well, it is more than a table but it is exactly what I wanted. After the construction was complete and much of the yard put back together I now have a place of honor for my eggs. I probable accounted for half of the hits on the Wiz's table page while trying to decide just what I wanted--man that is a great source of information.
Anyway, this is my first attempt at posting a photo on the new site so if I am lucky a couple of views will appear below.

Thanks,
That is the first time a like to a photo worked for me. Wonder what the difference in the others are? -
You mean this photo? (You need the image headers see the help link above.)
Wow - Is that a table, a monument, or a sacrificial alter????

Larry,
Wow, that's quite a pedestal! Nice job. Do you have a pic of the other side?
Speaking of pictures, I find on over half the pics posted on the new forum I can see them only if I copy from "http" at the beginning to "jpg" at the end and paste it into the browser address. Does that make sense? For some reason there is too much code for the picture to appear. Some people can see them, but a lot of us can't. How does a picture poster avoid that?
Thanks,
Patty -
I used spell checker and still misspelled link, what a dummy. :cheer:

whats up with the Karma thing?

I can say one thing......it was a LOT of work....absolutely awesome...

I can only pray that i am entombed in something like that when i depart! It is an absolute masterpiece. Probably the only EGG mausoleum in the country!
sly: won't be happy in just being buried now :rye -
Thanks for the positive comments. I attempted to post two pictures one from the front and one from the back. I don't know what I'm doing wrong with the picture links but I guess I'll figure it out one day.
I actually could not be more happy with the final product it makes cooking much more enjoyable than using a stack of cinder blocks for the small and a nest for the large with no table surface.

how did you get the handle dbl bogey? do you play golf?
-
Didn't intend any offense with my comments
With so many of the "Tonights offering" posts and photos it made me think of the sacrificial alter thing . . .
I can't imagine how much time and effort went into the construction but it does look great.
Only thing I would add would be a holder to put up (when needed) a nice big green patio umbrella that could cover the Eggs, workspace, and cook when it rains or snows. -
maybe this will work for the second photo

Didn't offend me in the least....and I had one of them 8' green umbrellas for many years..stuck into my egg table...
-
I see smoked golf balls in your near future...LOL
-
Well, like most golfers, I play at it. Maybe I should borrow a line from my wife: "I like to take my clubs for a walk and look at nature"

Nice.
Now I think you would need two big umbrella.
One vertical for protection from the rain, and another angled for hooks and slices.
{Your first post was just missing the Image code IMG and /IMG in front and back of the link to photobucket.) -
Ive been playing for close to 20 yrs now, great game. I was a 7.6 handicap last year, lowest round was -1 par. My favorite place to be is walking a course! Funny thing is 3 yrs ago i got Mrs. Rye a set of clubs for our anniversary, she's a lefty playing right handed, well she gets on a league this past year and won all the top honors. Lowest average, best improved handicap, 22 down to a 14, she drags me out to play!

Man that looks really great. I love the background. What a great place to have a party. When is your next party?

Nice setup, nice view, DB. Looks like a nice place to kick back and enjoy a cold one or ten.
