I live in Tucson, and I don't know a single other Egger here and we have over a million people in the metropolitan area. I have to believe between PHX and TUS we could put together an Eggfest. I'm traveling all over the country to attend fests and it really astounds me that we don't have enough people here to put one on here. -RP

make this happen folks. also, im surprised in a huge place like so cal there isnt one going on here.

AZRP,
I'm in the Phoenix area - 5 people in my office have eggs, one of my best friends has an egg and a kamado and I'm trying to get some of my neighbors converted.[p]They're not forum readers, though, but I think they may be interested in an eggfest.[p]Freddie

Freddie,
We really need to do this. I've been to Eggfests in ATL, waldorf, Oklahoma City, and Denver and it's time we had one here. -RP
-
AZRP,
I might come if it is in January! Hoss
-
AZRP,
You can count Jan and I in. I would help anyway needed. It would be great. AZ

AZRP,
There probably are many eggers in your area that dont know of the forum. I recall attending the 1st PA eggfest a couple of yrs ago and many there never heard of this forum. One would have thought they were forum regulars with their set ups, food they cooked, and knowledge.
Looks like you need to start an eggfest there:)

I would be interested but, seeing as I am in Yuma and not Tucson or Phoenix maybe it does not count.

Hoss's BBQ,
Come to think of it, You put the first one on last January. -RP
-
AZRP,
I had a semi Eggfest last Feb in Lake Havasu with 15 people, and at that time the people from BGE suggested I try to put on an Eggfest in Lake Havasu. We've got about 15-20 eggers that I know in our little town of 50,000. I would be willing to help as much as I can. February in Az is great weather as you know. See-Yaa

AZRP,
I live just across the state line near St. Johns. Would be great to have an eggfest in Tucson or Phoenix. Shorter distance for me to drive than Denver. Maybe spread the word during the AZ BBQ Championship in a couple of weeks.[p]Andres

AZRP, well aound the 2nd of Dec would be nice, for the first Champcar PHX Grandprix, I could make it then.[p]http://www.grandprixarizona.com/

AZRP,[p]Oooh definitely. Phoenix area please. Gots relatives and clients out there who would definitely come. Been trying to convert some of them for ages now!!![p]mShark

Zunibbq,
Are you competing at Taylor? I was going to judge at it but I'm going to Omaha next weekend and Denver the one after that and thought I'd be pretty burned out by then. They are giving away a LGBGE at the contest and there will be at least one Egg cooking. If you are going maybe you could float the idea around. Phoenix would be the logical place to have it but it would need a dealer to support it. I don't know who sells Eggs up there. -RP
-
AZRP,[p]BBQ galore is about the only place that sells the BGE around here. There are a few around town that regularly cook on them for promo's and what not - the ones that come to mind are the locations at Gilbert and the 202 and the BBQ galore at McDowell and 99th Ave.[p]Freddie

LoveHandles,
Yeah, I missed out on that one. -RP
-
Freddie,
I wonder if the two stores here in Tucson are owned by the same people. -RP
-
Randy,[p]I know I would be there. Unless, we get 15 inches of snow that week.

AZRP,
I live in the city of Maricopa, AZ (Close to Casa Grande) I am up for getting together
-
mollyshark,
As I recall, you were a Sun Devil at one time. -RP
-
AZRP,[p]It comes back to me when I recall walking from parking in the stadium lot in June. By the time I got to a class I didn't remember why I was there![p]mShark
-
dhuffjr,
I was thinking about how many cars were going to need to be washed. That and if I could even get out of town.
Heat Index has been over 100 the last 5 days, calling for the same the next 5. A little cooler wouldn't hurt.[p]Mike
-
AZRP,
I'm in Phoenix - would be a great thing (in the cooler months!!)[p]mule

AZRP,[p]I'm in north phx. I would definately go to an AZ eggfest. That would be fun! It needs to be between October and March sometime. I am the only one I know in phx with an egg. My family & friends have gassers. They all love my food when I cook, but they never talk about getting an egg. Maybe an eggfest would spike thier interest.
-
Freddie,[p]There is also a bbq galore at 77th ave and west bell rd. I bought both my large and small eggs there.
-
bobinaz,
Look at the other posts here, you have a lot of Egg company in PHX. -RP
-
AZRP,[p]I know there are people with eggs "here" on this forum from AZ. But I have not personally met/talked to anyone else here in AZ with an egg. An eggfest here would change that for sure.
