Steak and Legs

On 4/20, Uncle Phil posted a picture of steak and king crab legs he cooked on his egg. I posed a follow-up asking how long it takes to cook the legs, what temp, and how to tell when they are done. Don't guess he saw my follow-up. If any of you have grilled king crab legs, I'd appreciate hearing from you. Sounds like a pretty interesting combo, steak and legs.

They are already cooked so just put em in there at 350 or so till they get good and hot.

the way i do it is trex the steak first, then during the end roast of the steak at 400, put the legs on. they are already cooked so you just want to warm them for about 10 minutes and maybe melt some butter alongside

Those look gorgeous! Do you put them on the egg completely thawed or still frozen? The reason I asked is because I have been told that if you don't completely thaw, the meat can get stuck and not pull out cleanly. Perhaps this is only for snow crab legs?

those legs right there were never frozen and were flown directly to dayton, ohio from dutch harbor, alaska. just follow the directions for oven cooking...

Rick's Tropical Delight, thanks, I didn't realize they were already cooked. Should have asked my wife; she uses them in recipes and would have known. Anyway, I want to heat some on the grill like you did and eat them with a steak.

I'm a big time crab leg and lobster lover, and I'm not trying to be argumentative or anything here, but I've exhausted my search for crab legs that have not been flash frozen from the processors plant in Dutch Harbor.
According to all the info I've been given and seen on the Discovery Channel, all crab is flash frozen at the plants and boxed for sale. Crab has a very,very short shelf life, and is kept in sea water in the holds of the ship. Restaurants even get theirs frozen.[p]I may be wrong, but I'm interested in how they can ship you a fresh product without all the intestinal worms forming on the trip!
