    WINNER WINNER - btw was that a special buy at COSTCO, or is that a regular item on that wall of small kitchen appliances which seem available on a fairly stable basis at COSTCO?

    I like the glass bowl a lot!  The teflon one’s anecdotally are bad for your air quality.

    We had three birds die before we figured out what was causing their respiratory sickness and ultimately death. It was the air fryer - not even in the same room, but was used inside with them.

    I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

    Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

    I like this thing for the ease of cleanup and cook time. As with any meal prep is the hard work. We have done wings, onion rings, broccoli casserole, and a meatloaf with 90-10 ground beef. 

    All were delicious. 

    This is not a replacement for the Egg, and never will be. 


    The glass bowl finally got me into the air frying. I retired from the company that invented Teflon Coatings, I would never use them. I stayed cast iron until we found this. 

    It is just so quick and easy. Even a moron like me can use it.

    We found that on the shelf with the regular small appliances. I do not believe it to be a special buy. When I saw the glass bowl that you can cook in and store leftovers, I went all in.

    I know Teflon is an environmentally challenging substance as well. I never used it. Teflon flu is real. 

    DuPont sold off the coatings business for several reasons, one of them was the potential for liability of Teflon. West Virginia sued DuPont for finding Teflon in their river water from the manufacturing plant. 

    It was odd, my career was developing coatings and application systems that met or exceeded the demands for air quality, and being environmentally friendly in the waste management process. 

    Non stick coatings is a product I chose not to pursue, as I was an organic chemist, and chemical engineer. I was very glad our company was shed from DuPont. 

    We changed everything.

    The food is very good, it might not win medals at culinary events, but for a quick 15-20 minute meal, it does not suck. Store the leftovers in the cooking container, reattach to warm it up, toss in the dishwasher when done.

    Being retired, it is surprising how busy your days have become. I was clueless. I spent too much time in the lab to find out. Now that we are retired, there are3 things I look for, Fast, Easy, and reliable. This product has all 3.

    Starting some wings.  1.5 ounces, I used sesame seed oil and a IHNFI rub. Set for 40 minutes.

    40 minutes  later, crispy wings. Crispier than any I had done on the BGE without using a vat with oil.

    nice thing, cleanup is so simple, and no repairing oil.

    For a rather no fuss throw them in and rake them out, I really liked it. Plus it saved My Beautiful Wife from having to clean the grates on the grill. 

    Seriously too easy, and my lazy butt lifestyle seems to fit.

    I think I am right around the 100K mark over the last 15 years. 

    My Beautiful Wife reminds me she would not have to work at Costco retrieving carts, if we would have invested the money I have spent on forum related necessities. 

    I get it. 

    We sometimes have dinner at Costco. The hotdog and a fountain drink. Only when she is buying though.
