How thick is the base of an BGE XL

trying to help an former co-worker that has a XL and needs a new gasket.
All I could find is 3/4" rutland gasket . . . my Lrg is 1" base thick
FWIW  I've emailed and txt'd RRP Mon & Tues but no response  :|

    I think per @rrp instructions you push the gasket together lengthwise and pull on the sides to make it fatten it up.

    Sorry - but after my hospital/rehab stint of 38 days my wife fell and has been in the hospital herself and I missed these emails you said you sent. When "bunched" back into itself then a 5/8" flat braided Rutland is both thicker and wider and will generally then be 1" wide which seems to have satisfied people who have bot 10,303 of them to date.

    no need to mail me a gasket as I have already ordered one to be delivered Friday.
    I was facing a narrow window as my former co-worker has his days off coming up soon.
