the nachos were surprisingly incredible. Not the first time doing them, but they really came together. Pizza was pretty good too. Now using flour instead of corn meal on the split while building and nothing on the stone. Much better results, no sticking.

i get given so much food and treats for Christmas that by the time I finish them all it will be Easter and I will have the same shape as an egg. Rather fitting I think.

  • looks great!  never thought of using egg to melt the cheese on a plate of nachos. any smoke pickup?  also thinking Trader Joe’s soy chorizo would be a good meat substitute.

huge smoke pickup. the jalapenos and green onions crisped up, pretty much perfect. The only thing not done on the egg was browning up the soy ground round in a CI frypan on the gas stove. No TJ up here, so Gusta brand.

@zaphod nice spread. My pizza skills are dreadful but my wifes is pretty darn good and she gave you the thumbs up.

I would say that you hit a home run, but given the occasion I'll go with a touchdown and a 2 point conversion.
