Instead of Beer - Help

One of the Thanksgiving meals we are doing this year is for a recovery/treatment center. My turkey injection recipe I use calls for a 1/2 can of beer. I realize most of the alcohol is removed by the time the injection simmers on the stove and cooked in the turkey but I'm going to eliminate it completely.
What's my best option for a beer substitute? I'm thinking Ginger Ale or maybe some type of beef/pork stock. What would you guys/gals recommend for an alternative. Here's the recipe:

Thanks!

Three things:
Non-alcoholic beers are common (at least here in UT) but they do have a very tiny percentage of alcohol in them (all of them? I have no idea); maybe try one of them?
Secondly, I'd always thought that by the time any sauce was simmering (ie the water was beginning to reach a boil, and was at 220º) the alcohol (with a much lower boiling point, at 173º) was already gone, but I've read that some alcohol molecules somehow connect to water molecules and stay within the mix (I'm a complete failure at chemistry) so I don't know. Finally,
Three, I got in a rather violent argument with a high-strung local (again, Utah) who loudly proclaimed he'd never eat anything that ever involved alcohol, even if it cooked off... and he was eating a sandwich. I asked him if he knew how his bread got so fluffy, he mentioned yeast and CO2, then I asked him what else yeast gave off during fermentation. He got Very huffy, and never spoke to me again."First method of estimating the intelligence of a ruler is to look at the men he has around him."

I’m not that smart, but I would probably just sub with chicken broth.Las Vegas, NV

Nothing sweet like a soda. I’d sub NA beer or stock.

It does add ginger flavor. But don’t pay this price, go to a health food store where they will sell it by the bottle. Some grocery stores carry it.

Beer is slightly acidic, so a teaspoon of vinegar in 6 oz of the liquid should be a reasonable approach.Cincinnati, Ohio. Large BGE since 2011. Still learning.
