Subaru Outback, replacing my twenty one year old Honda Element

Congrats. You find yourself in good company with myself and @hoosier_egger. Bought mine as part of the last run of 3.6Rs. Love the driving experience (great in our long, cold, snowy winters) and dimensions; hate the tech (I shun technology, so may not be a good reference).

    Hope you enjoy yours.

Finally pulling the trigger on the Golf Simulator getting a SkyeTrak+!!
That looks super cool and fun!!  Will be great for weeknights and/or terrible golf weather months!

we have a reward and recognition thing at work that acccularea points.  It can add up.  A few times a year I will find something ridiculous I want to buy and cash in points for gift cards.  Enter a 7.5 foot tall animatronic Chewy from Home Depot (it’s a “Christmas decoration” but he’s staying out year round.)

Things I never knew I needed!

I kind of disagree though, there is nothing ridiculous about that!!

    Are they 100% genuine Takodas?!

The real deal are fun to work with. Thin and exceptionally light. My wife’s chef knife of choice.

They are, with the price they are charging I would think they probably live in your neighborhood and commute to Japan.

Anova chamber sealer maybe... does anyone have one and vacuum seal long items externally?
I see videos of people using other brands for this and imagine the Anova can to, but I can not find a definitive answer on that.

Nice selection. The nice thing about the Takedas is that even the bigger blades remain so light because of how thin they are. Have never tried their honesuki, but I have a Masakage honesuki (also blue super) and I use it a lot more than I thought I would.

There is a heart stamped onto the Takedas (his signature). One legend has it that it’s to symbolize his devotion for his wife; the competing version of the legend is that it is an ode to his days of debauchery (drink and women) as a young man. 😆

    Keep me posted!

no one in the house currently plays. My wife used to decades ago. I foresee lessons in the family's future. I suppose that makes this the gift that keeps on costing.

It's a Costco special, but with a lot of good reviews. 88 weighted keys with three pedals and good sound. I know nothing, I am a brass player.

sax no. Trumpet primarily but even that has fallen off. Once upon a time could fake it on other valved instruments and had a summer with a trombone back in '86.  Now that I'm no longer working Tuesdays, I keep wanting to pull out my trumpet and start up again.  Spare time is starting to come over to my side again, slowly.
