OT - Halloween in our neighborhood…

Greetings friends,

our neighborhood has been closing the streets down for 10+ years, and has developed a REAL reputation for trick or treating. Last year, we had about 300 ghouls and superheroes every 20 minutes. CRAZY!

A lot of folks do haunted houses. certain driveways have “adult Halloween.” ;) Almost everyone has serious decorations. We’re no exception! We have caution tape, a bunch of animated inflatables, spooky music, crazy lighting, and my favorite - this year we doubled down - FOUR FOG MACHINES lol

And candy isn’t cheap this year. But it’s WORTH IT!!

if I can figure out how to post a video in Vanilla, I’ll update after Friday.

Hope you guys all have a spooktacular Halloween!! :);););)

Boo!

Nope.......acoustic guitar hardshell case, two 2x4s, and a basketball. Good guess though.

Damien! Hoping all is well my friend, great to see you. Bride is new, and congrats my man you always do so well.

Enjoyed the post, and we just returned from a Halloween blowout party down in NC, had so much fun.

It was a haunted circus theme, and the clowns were wicked. I went as Super Dave: Daredevil. My Beautiful Wife costumed as a fortune teller.

The costumes of everyone made it awesome. My brother in law and I did 3 pork shoulders, and nothing was left.

Ours here in Louisville will be Friday, it can’t get here soon enough, I think my diabetes rating is through the roof from eating so much candy.

Wonderful to see your posts again.

What a nice post to read. :) where in NC were you? We’re in Greensboro.

Super Dave Osborne was always one of my favorite characters to catch on Late Night. Must’ve been a more.. aah… SOPHISTICATED party than what we’ll see Friday? lol!

    be well my friend! :):)

I feel like @botch and @stlcharcoal may have inspired your axe thread.
  • Was thinking I may try to set up my pellet smoker maze in a pumpkin this evening. Should create small wisps of eerie smoke and also create a great smell. Have thought about doing that for years, but just hadn’t actioned it yet.

sweet!!! Over here Halloween is rained out, just a pouring rain out there. My 12 year old is very unhappy about the possibility of not going out. My 15 son likely doesn't care. I just want to watch the game, so I'm trying to sell "handing out candy" to them as an alternative. I truly like doing that myself, but World Series so I am happy to take a pass.

Insane :) 530-930 pm solid. Stopped counting at 25 pounds of candy handed out. 2 gallons of fog juice.
