Thanksgiving 2025

Had our family Thanksgiving yesterday.

Costco sized shrimps

Roasted root veggie (each veg was individually parnuked, roasted beets from freezer)

Maple roasted broccoliussels sprouts (parnuked) with bacon

Bacon (parnuked) wrapped scallops

Tried something new with the turkey breast. Brewed a tea of garden herbs with mandarin orange zest, then added maple syrup, apple juice and ACV. No measurements at all.

Injected deboned whole turkey breast with the above and vac sealed with extra brew for about an hour. Tied to regain shape and air dried overnight. Smoked below 200F till IT 120, finished in oven at 375 till IT 150

Also SV previously frozen turkey leg roulades. Breast skin was chewy but meat was super juicy and flavourful, even someone in the family who doesn't like white meat asked for seconds and leftover.

Almost forgot this. Steamed a small previously smoked MSM flat

Other stuff: Mushrooms, buns, mash, cranberry sauce, turkey pan juice gravy.

Montrous apple pie from Costco
