The BC eggfest has been cancelled for two years so I started looking for anything north of the border, or in BC, or in the PNW.

found eggfests in Kingston - cool!

But ... they are for round cornered fiberglass trailers, apparently called "eggs" in the trailer community. Who knew? Anyway, "this is not the eggfest you are looking for" and I moved on after a curious moment or two.

But back to it, where's a frostbitten Canadian boy going to find an eggfest these days? Going to the October show in GA is out of the question.

I wholeheartedly agree. Down here in Peoria, Illinois two of us convinced our local dealer (before the mothership blew all the small dealers out of the water by selling their souls to the all mighty ACE) what an eggfest was and how that could promote his business and sell some eggs! This eggfest lasted for 13 years and drew eggers and public from a large geographical region since in spite of Illinois being a large state including Chicago there were no other eggfests being held!

Our enthusiasm spread and all the while our dealer was awestruck that we supplied most of our own eggs and 100% of the food.

inspirational, but ... I am not the person to organize such a thing. I've been part of the organizing team of large (2000 people) events in the past, but I left all the "mundane" specifics like contracts, permits, financials, and so on to the sub-teams that excelled at that sort of thing. I hold a better role of MofC at the event and quick problem-solver before/during/after the event. BBQ events are way out of my expertise.

That said, I'll see what hint dropping does at the dealer.

it's funny - I started this to point out that "eggfest" has different meanings to different lunatic fringes. Didn't expect the path it took.

otherwise known by the friendly acronym of EFFEDUP
