Just got back home.   While in DC, had dinner here:

    https://www.1789restaurant.com/

It was quite good.  No pics, sorry.

Next week I’ll have dinner at Alinea (in Chicago) and you can bet I’ll be taking pics of whatever they bring us there.

on the funny side, if your in a restaurant with a beautiful older school bar built in the 80s/90s but more in the favour of bar harbor, look for the initials EHB on the corners. i knew his son eddie haskell =) ernest built a bunch of bars up there during the winter months, made a ton of money. lived in a shack with no outhouse but had hundreds of those white sheet rock 5 gallon mud buckets out back......never been to bar harbor. been by it many times but thats my bar harbor story =)

Is this the Cape Elizabeth? Looking for my photos. Or maybe the Portland Head?  I can't remember. Be right back.

Cape Elizabeth October 2019. Myself and most of my kids on the Rocky Beach there.

I would rather be doing that than what I did today with my physical and a health department inspection of my business.

@fishlessman. We flew into Boston and meandered from Boston to Bar Harbor staying in Portland for a couple of nights. Drove by the Rover dealer in Scarborough and wondered if they still had your cot!

Thanks for the heads up. We might be looking for alternative things to do tomorrow if the forecasted fog is thick.

We are having a better year than expected too. The mosquitos seem to come out real late after dark along with their screen defying no-see-um buddies which is 10:30ish here now. Black flies are around during the day, but not in the usual swarms where you run around swinging your arms wildly through the air just to get relief. The ankle biter boat flies are worse than normal though, almost need to wear socks fishing.

those ankle biter flies are the worst, on a blood thinner and my legs drip red with those bites. stay as far offshore as possible this time of year to get away from them. fast little buggers

Hope all goes well @Gulfcoastguy … we may need to start a string of heart healthy recipes for the BGE so you can have a good rotation of get well food to take him as he recovers!
