    Congratulations to all our members in the GWN.  Enjoy Canada Day and if you are old a throwback  Happy Dominion Day as well.  
    Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

    My Canadian history is really thin, so I went to the internet to understand a little more, please correct me if I've got this wrong. I've got the 4th of July down for context since they're just days apart.

    Canada Day celebrates the formation of Canada as part of the British Empire.

    4th of July celebrates the formation of the US while shedding the British Empire.

    Do I have that right?

    Saturday Supper
    Cauliflower steaks (BGE Kentucky bourbon sauce) paired well with Jameson Irish
    grilled kohlrabi
    grilled halloumi

    Monday Supper
    roasted zuccinni
    roasted bell pepper
    sauteed mushrooms
    [veggie] burgers

    Tuesday Supper
    green sauce enchilladas
    jalapenos poppers stuffed with halloumi and honey

    we went with rice, refried beans, onions, and sauteed cauliflower florets because we have an abundance of those after the "steaks". 

    Have done whole roasted cauliflower head a few times - usually with Tandoori sauce injected and then powder sprinkled on it.  Here is one from May 2024 fresh from the egg. I have a 6" cast iron skillet that is perfect for the job.
