My dad is an amazing artist, but like any good dad he loves my art. Making him a tiny series of birch trees (his fave) for his 76th birthday present.

Minor league baseball is a great family experience. The skills are impressive and only improve. I’m not a baseball fan, but the Raptors here have a stadium that keeps you in the shade, so you can watch the mountains change colors as the Sun goes down/game drones on. I’ve gone when they have a favored band closing out the game (Huey Lewis!) and then skedaddle before the fireworks start.

Follow up at the orthopedic doctor today. Left ankle still hurts and has swelling 15 months post break. I feel another MRI in my future. Yay

Opened a bottle of Tepache after the 2nd carbonation ferment. After the geyser subsided I had enough for one glass 🤣.
Cleaned off the ceiling, counters, and floor. Learned a valuable lesson. Chill before opening.I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

One of those good news and who knows what news weeks. First today my parents sold the house that I helped build in 1983. It had been for sale for a solid year. Second tomorrow my brother in law has a heart bypass. He says that he doesn’t want any visitors including my sister for 48 hours as the doctor said he is going to look like he’s dead. Today? He’s swimming with his grandkids in the rain.
