Went to the festival last weekend in Hiawasee. Seemed to be a good turnout, maybe not as many cooks as last year but nice to see it still happening. Curious as to why I haven’t found a thread here about it yet.
You can’t get to Loganville, Ga from anywhere. You have to start somewhere else

any photos or specifics on it?  Probably nobody here went, or if they did, mentioned it inside another thread.

it was worth the trip this year even if a little smaller.  great shade and bluegrass and plenty of great cooks. no demo’s for sale. the banter and pics have probably moved to other channels with apps.  maybe people just don’t share pics like they used to which is fine. the posts here get very few replies and bumps.

Looks like a great venue, and day for the event.

We had many eggfests here in TX (Salado, Athens, Jefferson, etc.).  For various reasons, some of them stopped, and then COVID hit. I don't think we have had eggfests in TX for some years now.

Made many friends, some of whom are almost like family. Good times.

Well that eggfest was always the one touted by John Hall aka @Egret. I sure hope that the lack of response isn’t a bad omen about John!

It isn't. He was there. I didn't get any pictures, but I was also there.

We need to start them up again.

I have been to a few, all were good times. (Except the one when the cooking oil was thrown on to the night’s bonfire, which the park police were notified by NASA it was seen by the space station, and burnt the awning off my rented RV)

The thing about Bourbon Slushie, is there are no rules of decorum. A few folks remember not remembering what happened. IYKYN.

    Good times.
