For those lucky enough to be parents, or just using it as an occasion to make a good meal for the person better than most of us, what are you planning to cook Sunday?

In addition to Sunday being Mother’s Day, it’s also our 29th wedding anniversary. Today I made SWMBO her favorite breakfast, French toast.Sliced brioche bread and left it out over night. The batter was 6 eggs, 1 cup of cream, 1/2 cup of milk, 1 tb sugar, 2tsp vanilla, 1 tsp cinnamon, a pinch of salt, and zest from an orange. The orange zest really makes the flavor pop. Topped with a light cinnamon dusting with real maple syrup and some melted butter.Happy Mother’s Day weekend to everyone.

I’m only a mom to our three furbabbos and today is DHs birthday so I’m (as usual) cooking for everyone and the furbabbos are getting their favorite ham, split pea, and rice dinners for the next week (and yes, we have an overabundance of pupper gas). DH is getting Salisbury steak (🤢) for lunch and chicken and fresh noodles (🤢) for dinner. His choice, but his corn fed Illinois palate is just 🤢. Also happy anniversary @Ragingirishman2 !

It got moved up a

one day at a time - and it's still Saturday - so I egged some boring, but DELICIOUS baby back ribs which I like to call my mahogany ribs.

I went spatchcock chicken for Mother's Day lunch and the family enjoyed. Nice and crispy

Beautiful looking Spatchcock and I bet the drippings onto those veggies took them to another levelGreensboro North Carolina

Going up to my folks house, so a friend walked me through baking a Babka. Made a nice orange glaze to finish it and serving it with homemade fig preserves from my tree. Random Vanilla order photos.

Looks neat, @Ozzie_Isaac !

Had a very wonderful weekend. Went camping with Scouts. Gorgeous weather. caliprince had a blast.

Got back home, took a nap, and rallied to make the day special for caliqueen, and her mom. Cranked out pasta from scratch...
... which went into a saffron, and smoked paprika, cream sauce.
Shrimp with parsley and garlic compund butter.
SV pots de creme (TOTH to JIC)... dark choc, salted caramel. Dressed with homemade razz sauce, and goat milk dulce de leche (HEB).
(Not pictured... roasted turnips + greens. New for us, and quite good).
Hectic weekend, and day. But, I scored some points to last a few months

@Caliking what a gorgeous looking pasta you have there! Did you use a pasta maker or just rolling pin and knife?

Thank you @DoubleEgger!DoubleEgger said:Nice to see you back @Paolo -
@caliking - what a banquet right there. Definitely earning points with the groceries you consistently crank out. Sweet.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. @caliking I mean, in a pinch, if you’re rushed, I guess maybe that will do.

Thanks. Truth be told, I wouldn't have undertaken the effort, given how exhausted I was after camping with 20+ Scouts. But, we had two mommas in the house to celebrate, and I couldn't let it pass.
