Elon is successfully using the federal government to kill any competition to his companies. Companies that he built with federal contracts, federal grants and tax credits, carbon credits etc. Just about cornered space transportation, electric cars, electric car charging stations, so it’s time to use the government to freeze out any competition. The stock prices will eventually come back. Meanwhile he has hundreds of billions and can support himself and his numerous offspring on just the interest alone.

While he can do this to some extent in the US, his agency in other countries is far more limited.  The future for eVs made by other car companies is looking very good right now.

But I don’t live in other countries and the US is frequently the 800 pound gorilla worldwide anyway.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to suggest that what he's doing doesn't have an impact on people here in the US.  It certainly does.

All I was suggesting was that I don't think he's going to end up being successful killing his competition in the eV space, at least not long term.  BYD is killing him at the moment, and they're not even available in the US.

the enthusiasts of elon will say whatever he is taking from you via doge can come back if it is worth it.

    https://www.inc.com/jeff-haden/elon-musks-algorithm-a-5-step-process-to-dramatically-improve-nearly-everything-is-both-simple-brilliant.html

the masquerade is that someone who is very wealthy as an inventor is so wealthy that he is donating his time to rescue america in his image.

well, he’s not really an inventor. that’s ok because first mover advantage is a myth over the long haul.

but what he is good at is ruthless strategy.  he is not good at philanthropy.  he is not good at sharing.

he convinced the most impressionable people that he is robin hood and we’re just riding it out.

truly philanthropic people are usually not huge tax avoiders.

I’m not sure how much utility federal court rulings have when the Trump White House is simply ignoring them.

No, it depends on the topic or what aspect of him is being discussed. I haven't seen or heard "let's discuss Elon, the complete man" anywhere, nor do I think it's an obligation for anyone to say "I hate what he's doing with Twitter, but that boring company, what a great idea"

depends more on which news media you watch, if he is a villain its only bad things discussed, if hero its only good things discussed depending on the source. this twit post for example......

Ah, so you're saying the media is doing this, portraying him as all good or all bad, not just talking about some things, some part of the whole, and people just take that at face value?

If you think that's appropriate and you think he's unfairly judged for everything because it's him. Does that work for diversity, woke, trans, Biden, Hilary, on and on? Seems kind of silly, or just a way to dismiss any criticism?  =)

I've seen grown ass men wearing suits on tv saying eggs are high because Biden killed over a billion chickens. Seems like Biden derangement syndrome to me. Is it still fake news of it isn't from the media and it's not from a democrat?

I don't blame Biden for the price of eggs and wouldn't sell a Tesla if I did not like musk.

Seems like maybe the better move is to not buy a Tesla in the first place?

lady taking her cat to the vet next door couldnt get her cybertruck into a the parking spot. decided to park it in the middle of the road in front of my shop blocking me and two others in and shutting down the street. this is probably the typical cybertruck driver =)
