Fareed did an interesting talk this morning about the maga administration's war on Science and the universities, and tied it to a similar disaster in early communist China.  It also reminded me of a fascinating talk given by N. deGrasse Tyson, which ties into the same idea; it's also below.
Two weeks ago I let my subscription to WaPo expire, and I couldn't get to this article directly, but by using Fareed's link on the CNN website I was able to (let me know if it doesn't work for you).
