Hahaha - still haven't made them, I need to fix that.  Are there eggs in the recipe?

Yep - egg yolks.   It’s the only part of the recipe that takes any real effort.

Skipping one meal out with my wife per year easily covers the increase cost of eggs for us for a year.

the dogs get two eggs a day each and one meaty raw prime rib bone. eggs per day cost more....sometimes they get marrow bones, a few years back they were free, now a two inch marrow bone 4 pack is 10 bucks plus or minus. how does it go from free to 10 bucks in a couple years for a friggin marrow bone

If you can also skip fertilising an egg, it'll more than cover lifetime supply of eggs  =)

Because it went from a scrap to something in demand they can make money on?  If you've been getting bones from the butcher or meat counter for years, it's your fault.

20% of the US egg market, they're having a good run, like the oil companies when oil prices spike.
