Was just given a Mini and cleaned out then burned out.

Never had this to do before.
Thanks

Simple Green works for me. Warm up the egg if the streaks are stubborn.

Yo, Mick...that band looks rather iffy - you might want to at least re-seat it if not just replace it!

Picked up and headed to Florida the next day. Thought when i get back at the end of the March would take it apart and try cleaning up bands as well on the outside.

Ron i do have a question about those of us that have 20 year old Larges will the NEW bands kits fit ours or was there a slight change a few years back?

Mick - the printing on the box says it won't fit an old egg but in talking with Tom at the CGS there in Denton, TX he told me it will fit. So I trust Tom and it did fit though you do have to finesse it a bit. About the often aired complaint you might hear is it doesn't let the dome open as wide, which is true, but I never have found that as a problem. Go for it and you'll be glad! Here's the link...warts and all =)  https://eggheadforum.com/discussion/1231672/adjusting-a-new-band-on-an-old-egg-my-solution

Premium ethanol-free gasoline. Its an effective cleaner, as long as its ethanol-free. 😜

I kid…..  usually just get it hot during a cook and it’ll wipe right off when a dampened towel.
