OT: I Got High Today

Drove to the summit of Mauna Kea after spending the requisite 30 minutes at the visitor center (9100’) to acclimate. Had to make the trip solo as SWMBO’s asthma and 13,796’ of elevation are not a good combination.

Driving down the access road in dark was a little hair-raising. Am amazing spot to watch the sunset.

For my science nerd friends:

I purchased a bag of chips near sea level to go with the grinder I bought for my dinner while watching the sunset.

This is what it looked like at the summit before opening. Which gas law is being demonstrated?

My layman thinking...sea level air pressure inside the bag stronger than outside air pressure at high altitudes?

Put the same bag of chips in a chamber sealer and see what happens.
