The start of 2025 has been a rough one in the US, and across the world.
Two things I find interesting:
1. I believe the strength of the CyberTruck redirected the blast upwards instead of towards the building. Looking at the blast photos, there stainless steel portions of the truck are in amazingly good shape and kept their structural integrity. It reminds me of this commercial:

2. The are already discussing new regulations for instant torque and acceleration rates for electric vehicles due to New Orleans. They said a regular truck with no run-up would not have been as dangerous.
I am curious on the use of two controversial vehicles for attacks in the USA? Wonder if it was convenience, best vehicle for the job, or a political statement?

I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

I was just going to mention this. Just speculation but EVs world wide might be starting to cut into oil sales world wide. Islamic Jihad is partially financed by oil sales. Then they might just not like Elmo.

@Ozzie_Isaac I wonder if the explosives in the Tesla just weren't put together very well, I only know what's made its way to my phone, but it sounds very homemade and it looked like a series of explosions, not a single big detonation of everything. And fireworks - that can't make for the most efficient way to make one big boom.
As for ev's and the instant torque, there are twitter accounts here that count and post pics of teslas that end up spinning off the road on I-70 when it snows. They are as beloved as the 2wd cars with city tires that create the horrific jams on I-70 in the winter.THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER -
And when you find your enemy in a hole you toss him a shovel and a fake treasure map.

They've pretty much established the NOLA attacker was sucked into ISIS, and he may have picked the EV truck (it was rented) just for its acceleration and weight (hitting ten people at once in an 8,000-lb vehicle is more effective than with a slower, 4,000-lb vehicle). That's pure conjecture on my part.Ozzie_Isaac said:I am curious on the use of two controversial vehicles for attacks in the USA? The LVNV attacker was a Marine on leave, and picked a cybertruck (don't know if he owned it) and a trump tower to set it off. He may have been making a political statement; again, pure conjecture on my part.
EDIT: PBS Newshour just reported that the LVNV attacker's cybertruck was rented, and thru the same app that the NOLA attacker used; but, the other "evidence" that the MSN networks are proposing as any kind of collusion, at this time, just don't make sense to me.

Not sure there’s much more at play here than it’s the holidays in America, when folks go off the deep end."I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike
