Project 2025

A few comments on it. First it isn't the party plank adopted by the GOP convention yet. Second even the party plank is seldom followed in its totality. Third the Supreme Court would object to putting the Justice Department under executive authority. Fourth Trump is following a much more moderate approach towards abortion now that it is back under the authority of the individual states. Fifth several cabinet level branches of government could indeed use a general pruning of their employment rolls. Sixth even Biden is belatedly realizing the need to seal the border to unapproved immigrants. Completing the wall will cost little and free Border Control agents to more closely inspect the legal entrances. Deporting 18 million people is but a pipe dream. Running background checks on them is a necessity though.
Frankly I think that you will find Trump is much more of a social liberal than people think without Mike Pence in a position to meddle. -
It's a very radical agenda, and Trump's lackeys have been doing the advance work to put key people into various positions they need to execute on it.

Okay, I commit to reading the Project 2025 details in advance of November 5th absent any great polling changes. (We could be F'ed.) But some of it is so extreme that even CHEETO acolytes in Congress should push back. Hope! Hope!

I don't think Trump has any moral or ethical or religious perspective on abortion, he is trying to get elected, like all politicians, and sways with the base in an election cycle. Power, fame/legacy and money. Those are his planks, the rest is window dressing.

Based on what I have read recently, this is not in fact the case. Here's a recent quote from Ed Martin, one of the three members of the platform committee:
“I call a late term abortion any abortion that is done after the baby is conceived, myself, in part because the term ‘late term abortion’ and some of the distinction of trimesters and all that was Roe v. Wade construct—it was made-up.”
They are playing fast and loose with terminology as a way to do two things: signal to pro-life advocates that they still very much want a national ban, while trying to fake everyone else out that they have "softened" their stance."I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

Agriculture producers and processors, who overwhelmingly vote Republican, are not ignored in project 2025. It's not a nice way to treat your friends. Should the proposals described in the article linked below get implemented, there will be many unhappy farmers here in Nebraska. Curiously, they seem to be unaware of what is in their future.

Currently the place that I used to work is 540 hours a quarter.

Btw that was called comp time when I worked for them . An hour per hour for exempt(management) like I was. 1.5 hours per hour for the people that I supervised. Taking comp time off could also be mandatory wether you were ready or not.
