have you looked at the adjustable rig from the ceramic grill store. makes multiple setups alot easier. alot of thought went into that rig

the PS woo is a great piece of gear if you have a platesetter aka convEGGtor or deflector,Captnrontx said:I like that idea. I stopped by CGS this morning and looked at the Woo. (It’s just money, you can’t take it with yo).
I have a PSwoo for my large and it makes things much easier to handle.
While I'm suggesting how to spend your money, you might also look at a drop spider for getting a cooking grid closer to the coals. I also have one of these and it works great to get the meat closer to the coals for hot direct searing.

Sorry, excellent point. What do other users do to keep plates level with each other. I’ve found a small rock works by placing it between the grate and the Egg rim. Any other suggestions will be appreciated.

don't have half moon CI grates, just a thought... wind a piece of copper wire around the high spot at the rim?canuckland

My bad, mistakenly thinking of balancing the half moons on the fire ring.canuckland

A while back I custom cut these posts from a scrap piece of square tube using an angle grinder, to elevate the grid for raised direct cook, might work for you.

That is great advice and recommendation.

Tom at CGS was one of the first Eggheads to post and make homemade accessories for his XL Egg many, many years ago. That’s were the snowball started rolling…you not find better advice anywhere.Captnrontx said:I like that idea. I stopped by CGS this morning and looked at the Woo.
