No this isn’t another what should I buy thread. It’s a me goofing around having my egg pretend to be a Santa Maria thread. Setup the eggspander with grates at the lower and top positions to imitate the raising grate of a Santa Maria. Tri tip but of course. Ran it lid open bottom vent closed.

Never closed the dome in the first place. Lit it with the eggniter and let it get going, then just closed the vent to keep it from going out of control.fishlessman said:What temp was it t when you opened the dome and shut the vent -
