Just drove 40 miles extra roundtrip to get Rockwood because local Ace dealer does not respect the customer or charcoals.
They drop it, slam it, the bags are always a mess. Today got call, wife buys T Bones, I'm out so I figure just grab one near the house on way home. I'll deal with it. But finial straw was when I get to the expected mess and find they now are stacking fertilizer bags on same pile mixed in with the charcoal. I just turned around and walked out.

I have now found Rockwood in the Academy Sports and Outdoors stores around here. FWIW-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

@nolaegghead you are definitely finding either cheap butts or very pricey lump.I will always support Rockwood given the way they stepped up and established their on-line fulfillment when Firecraft bailed on mail order shipments several years ago.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. I do find cheap butts, and I can not lie.
My opinion is principled insofar as the price per pound of lump relative to the cheapest meat I cook on it. Nothing to do with brand. That said, I do appreciate everything Rockwood aka Jonathan has done.______________________________________________I love lamp.. -
