I had plans for osso bucco until I was accosted yesterday by the butcher in a very crowded Whole Foods with the thick Italian accent and zero volume control. "No inhumanly raised meat!"
So I settled on lamb shoulder blade chops and a port wine braise. We'll see how it goes.

Those cuts are underrated. Always love when they go on sale at Publix.

$9.99 lb at Whole Foods, I'm sure it can be had for cheaper elsewhere, but that's not bad at al. Temp is dropping and it's gonna snow tonight, so this fits the bill.Dyal_SC said:Those cuts are underrated. Always love when they go on sale at Publix.THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER -

Carrots, onion, whole garlic cloves and sliced fennel cooked with the lamb, a little orange zest on top.
Polenta with parsnip purée, sautéed shiitakes, garlic and Parmesan.Broccolini sautéed with garlic (yes, again) and finished with aged white wine vinegar.
It worked out really well.THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER -
