Heading to Cinci on business in a few weeks. Any decent places for quality BBQ?

I have nothing in the way of BBQ, but if I found myself hungry in Cincinnati, I would have to try Skyline Chili.
There are two places with BBQ listed on the "list of 25 places you have to eat in Cincy" list:
Eli's and Montgomery Inn.
But, I bet the locals know of better stuff! Good luck!
Clinton, Iowa -
Montgomery inn is a cinci institution. Rhinegeist brewery is a cool stop. Pop across the bridge
South of Columbus, Ohio. -
And got to hofbrauhaus for a beer and brat.South of Columbus, Ohio.

I’ll second the above, but Lucious Q is my go to in Cinci for smoky goodnessalaskanassasin said:And got to hofbrauhaus for a beer and brat.Columbus, Ohio--A Gasser filled with Matchlight and an Ugly Drum. -
Ribs. Montgomery inn isn't bad. Steaks. The precinct, the Prime, or Mortons are good experience slightly heavy on the front pocketColumbus, Ohio

Yeah, agreed. It's a regional institution and I respect that, but I'm a Texas Red fan. Maybe drizzle a little Skyline on a hot dog. Then add plenty of Mustard.Legume said:Michiana, South of the border. -
I like the cinimon chili, the every day mild Texas red, and my too hot for Texas Yankee no bean chili.lobster chili with a crema fraiche ain't bad either
fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it -
My old boss was from Cincinnati and talked about that that chili at least once a week. I've never been to Cincinnati, but I did use the airport for a work trip to Kentucky once and tried one of the two major brands at the airport. Granted, it was in the airport, but it wasn't something I would seek out. If I was raised there, I would probably love it, but I don't think it translates well to adults not from the area.THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

Put what you think is enough cheese, then add three times more😁 that seems to be the make or break. I add allspice cutting back the cinnamon, but I use allspice alot. It's a Portuguese thingLegume said:My old boss was from Cincinnati and talked about that that chili at least once a week. Cinci chili good but I wouldn’t seek it out, or a hot dog in general.South of Columbus, Ohio.

I get leading with the Italian description but credit to the English explanation. However, the dessert menu will likely require translation.Edit-fixed the fat finger spelling especially for @Canugghead
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
Yes ok - I’ve had lots of wine. It’s very very good.JohnInCarolina said:
